Made with Godot 4.1 and Aseprite. This is my first game jam so I am very excited.

V.1.1

  • Added different difficulties
Easy - You get an arrow pointing to your objective, your light lasts longer, and you can't die.
Normal - Light remains the same and die after getting caught 3 times.
Hard - Light lasts shorter and die after getting caught once.
  • You can see comets if you look at the night sky.

Your serene camping trip unravels into a nightmarish ordeal. Stranded within the woods, you awaken to find your marshmallows, backpack, and cherished teddy bear left behind. Armed with a dwindling flashlight, you must brave the enigmatic darkness while avoiding sinister creatures.

Navigate through the 1-bit shadows, collecting vital batteries to prolong your flashlight's waning glow and illuminate the path ahead. Eerie creatures lie in wait, ready to pounce, testing your resolve to survive. Your goal is clear: retrieve the trio of possessions and prepare for a nerve-wracking journey back to your campsite.

Will you confront your fears, outsmart the terrors that roam in the dark, and reclaim your belongings? Venture into the heart of the woods, gather what's dear to you, and then navigate the harrowing path back.

Great game! The sound gave me a bit of anxiety so I’d recommend equalizing the heartbeats and other SFX a bit.

Are you turned on option with name

"SharedArrayBuffer support — (Experimental) This may break parts of the page or your project. Only enable if you know you need it."?

Because, Godot 4 HTML don't work without it...

At least it definitely didn't work for me until I turned it on

Great game with good animations, only issue I would say is that on the edge of the screen you can see through it a little bit, Idk if other people are having this problem, either way I really like this game's ascetic

Thanks for feedback! Could you please provide screenshots so I can get see the issue better?

Absolutely love this game so much! The atmosphere is spectacular and I LOVE the little animations of the twigs snapping and such when you walk into them. Thought it was a really neat touch :D
Wasn't able to beat the game sadly since I'm a bit of a bozo, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the hard work put into this for such a short time! Great job! Hope to see more in the future (:

Thanks for playing! I still have 3 days left for the jam so I think I'll add difficulty options.
